The original Samos Restaurant opened in 1977 at 600 Oldham St. in Greektown and expanded into the adjacent building in 2000. Samos is named after a Greek island in the Eastern Aegean Sea. Samos has won many local restaurant awards and sports a 4.5 star Yelp rating with nearly 350 reviews.

More changes are ahead at McHenry Row as it is currently negotiating with tenants to fill the space recently vacated by Umi Sake. There is a possibility of subdiving the space and leasing to multiple tenants. A Starbucks will also be opening at the Harris Teeter in a space currently used for dining by the front entrance. Additionally, a third parking garage was recently completed with plans for an additional phase of development coming in the near future.
