Lilly Madison Furniture Opening this Weekend in Pigtown

Pigtown Main Street is gaining a new business as Lilly Madison Furniture is opening Saturday in a former 2,300 sq. ft. clothing store space at 775 Washington Blvd. Lilly Madison will sell modern furniture and home decor from brands including Coaster, Furniture of America, Zuo, and Howard Elliott.

Lilly Madison is named after owner Brian Jamal Greene’s daughter, Madison Lilly. Greene, who formerly owned a medical supply business, is looking forward to opening his own furniture store, a project he has been working on for the last few years. Greene has family in the business and thought a furniture store would be a great fit for Baltimore and loved the location he found in Pigtown.

“We’re very excited to be part of Pigtown,” Greene told “We’ve met with the community association and Pigtown Main Street, and so many people have stopped by to say hello. It’s an up-and-coming area for businesses.”

Greene also said he’s enjoyed eating at area restaurants as he’s been setting up the store.

Greene said the furniture at Lilly Madison is in the medium price range with couches ranging from $500 to $2,000. He noted that many items would be on the smaller side to fit the smaller rowhomes in Baltimore. Lilly Madison will feature a showroom, which Greene is looking to expand into the back of the property in the future, and it will have catalogs where more than 20,000 items can be purchased. Greene will also be partnering with interior designers to help clients furnish their homes.

Lilly Madison will be launching online sales on its website and plans to have an active social media presence. Greene is hoping Lilly Madison will serve the surrounding communities as well as bring in customers from outside of the area. It will offer a delivery service, as well as discounts to seniors and city residents.

Greene is also hoping to launch a store in the near future in his hometown of Richmond, VA.

Lilly Madison will be open every day from 10am to 6pm.
