From Baltimore Police Department Southern District Commander Brian Hance:

Hello to everyone,

The Fall Season is here and soon it will be cold outside. On those cold morning remember not to leave your vehicle running and unattended. This is an easy opportunity for your vehicle to be taken. In addition, do not leave your spare/ valet key in your vehicle. Secondly, do not leave valuables in your car. Once thieves identify locations were valuables are left in vehicles, they will continue to come back.

Package thefts are also an easy opportunity for thieves. Have your package delivered to your workplace, a good neighbor who is at home, a local business in your community that will except your package, or other package pickup locations is your community. Keep warm, and enjoy the holidays to come.
