Carjacking in Hollins Market Leads to Armed Robbery in South Baltimore

The carjacking occurred in Hollins Market and the armed robbery occurred in South Baltimore/Sharp-Leadenhall.

From Baltimore Police Southern District Commander Brian Hance:

On 2/4/17 approximately 8:20 pm police responded to the 1300 block of Race St for a armed robbery. The suspect was operating a white SUV and described as a black male armed with a handgun. The victim’s wallet was taken in this incident.While police were looking for the suspect vehicle, they located a white SUV leaving the area of the incident. Police followed the vehicle which refused to stop for police. The occupants jumped out the vehicle and fled. Possible suspects were later located, however a positive identification could not be made by the victim. The vehicle that was recovered by police was taken in carjacking in the 800 block of Hollins St yesterday. The vehicle is currently being processed to retrieve latent print, and the investigation continues.
