Team from Little Havana Opens Second Clark Burger in Little Italy

Little Havana offshoot Clark Burger is opening a second location at 415 S. Central Ave. in Little Italy at the former home of Tortilleria Sinaloa II. James Clark, who worked at Little Havana for more than 10 years, along with Marc Gentile and Scott Donnelly, two of the co-owners of Little Havana, opened the first Clark Burger location in January 2015 at The Senator Theatre in North Baltimore. Clark Burger specializes in fresh burgers, poutine, craft beers, and boozy shakes.

Gentile told business is going very well in North Baltimore and the new location was a “solid opportunity.” He said the space has a great layout, but that the team will make some changes to the kitchen, install signage, and painting from Jill Ionta.

Gentile added that the new location, which is close to Harbor East and Fells Point, is very promising and that he loves the people and diversity of the area. Gentile said they hope to open in the next 60 days and have approximately employees between the two locations.

Under Armour at Kohl’s

Under Armour picked up a key retailer as Kohl’s is now carrying its apparel. From Baltimore Business Journal:

At Kohl’s, Under Armour is expected to sell items like basic tank-tops, leggings and shirts in exclusive colors and materials, according to Citi Research analyst Kate McShane, who spoke with Under Armour (NYSE: UAA) in August.

The launch comes as Under Armour tries to recover from a rough fourth quarter. Shares of Under Armour’s stock have dropped more than 25 percent since late January when the company reported sales growth of less than 20 percent for the first time in 27 quarters.

Under Amour suffered a retail setback last year with the bankruptcy and closing of Sports Authority and Golfsmith.
