Hit and Run Investigation

On June 3, 2017, at approximately 2:30am, a 23-year old man was struck by a vehicle in the 300 block of Russell Street. The vehicle did not remain at the scene after the crash occurred. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling southbound in the 300 block of Russell Street when it struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was in the crosswalk when the crash occurred. The vehicle is described as a dark colored BMW with damage to the headlight.

Anyone with information is asked to call CRASH Team investigators at 410-396-2606.

A friend of the victim told SouthBMore.com that the victim’s injuries are significant, but not life threatening at this point, and that the victim has been at Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center since Saturday morning.

A passerby called 911 after seeing the victim, who is a resident of Ridgely’s Delight. It does not appear at this time that there was a witness to the hit and run.
