12,000 Sq. Ft. Cherry Hill Warehouse to Receive $500,000 Investment

A 12,000 sq. ft. single-story warehouse at 600 W. Patapsco Ave. in Cherry Hill has been sold to Baltimore City firefighters Ian Horowitz and Dan Mathe, along with Construction Finance Company and Equity Warehouse. The property, which was a long-time home to several auto repair companies, was listed for $395,000. The property changed hands last week.

James S. Chivers of Gold & Company LLC, a Baltimore-based commercial real estate broker that assisted in the deal, told SouthBMore.com the building was vacant and had issues with squatters and illegal dumping in recent years. It also had damage from a fire earlier this year.

The new ownership team has already started demolition and will complete renovations totaling approximately $500,000. “It will be practically a new building when it’s done,” said Chivers.

The renovation is expected to take about four months. The ownership team and Gold & Company will then lease the building and target auto repair, construction, and industrial services companies with a need for drive-in space.

Chivers said the investment will give the building “a new lease on life” and will be good for the neighborhood.
