Sweet Caroline’s in Locust Point Closes, Sold to New Owners

Restaurant Sweet Caroline’s closed on October 22nd after more than four years of business at 1401 E. Clement St. in Locust Point. Owners Jay Ferrari and Ashley Fowler sold the restaurant to a new operator who will be changing the concept.

Fowler told SouthBMore.com that they “just needed a break from the restaurant industry.” It is the duo’s third Maryland restaurant and Fowler said they have been “burning all ends” for the last 11-plus years.

Fowler said they’ll take some time travel before figuring out what’s next. Ferrari and Fowler recently took a road trip to Houston after organizing a donation drive for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Sweet Caroline’s was open daily for lunch and dinner, and popular items included Chicken Waffle Nachos and Cronuts.

The restaurant features a first-floor bar and dining room, as well as a second-floor dining room.

Before Sweet Caroline’s, 1401 E. Clement St. was the Italian restaurant Pazza Luna.
