20,000 Sq. Ft. Pigtown Warehouse Sells for $585,000

A 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse at 1205 South Carey St. in Pigtown recently sold for $585,000. Jim Chivers, vice president of Gold and Company, facilitated the transaction.

The building is used for back-office operations for the W.T. Littlepage Furniture Company. The Littlepage Furniture showroom has been a West Baltimore St. staple for more than a century. W.T. Littlepage, which was also the seller, will stay on as a tenant.

The buyer, GRP 1205 Carey, LLC, liked the building because of its accessibility to I-95, its close proximity to the city, and the low industrial vacancy rates in the industrial sub-market.

The single-story building has a freestanding drive-in and dock loading warehouse with 20-plus-feet ceilings. It sits on a .605 acre property.
