Ruby 8 Closes at McHenry Row, Likely to be Replaced by Two Businesses

| July 12, 2018 | 0 Comments

Ruby 8 has closed its 4,200 sq. ft. restaurant at 1702 Whetstone Way in McHenry Row. Owner Chil Chong has moved his focus to his new restaurant Nori, which opened this month at 850 W. 36th St. in Hampden.

Ruby 8 formerly had a location at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore before it was sold in 2017 and became Fu Noodle House. Ruby 8 opened at McHenry Row in Spring 2018.

Ruby 8’s former space at McHenry Row was the home of four different Asian fusion places since the complex opened in 2012. It started as Red Parrot Asian Bistro and was then House of Asia and Umi Sake before Ruby 8 took over.

The space will now go in a different direction as two non-food tenants are expected to split up the space and take over, according to representatives from McHenry Row Owner 28 Walker. Announcements are expected this Summer.
