Westport Warehouse Sells for $410,000, Receives Renovation
The heavy industrial building at 2701 Manokin St. in Westport sold in April for $410,000. A commercial real estate investor named 2636, LLC purchased the 15,000 sq. ft. building and has been renovating the space.
Jim Chivers of Gold and Co. assisted in the sale of the property and will be handling the leasing of the facility, which is currently in the last phase of renovations. The revamped building features heavy-power, oversized drive-in doors. It is also a crane-served building.
Chivers noted that the building has great access to I-95 and area highways, and is located at the “gateway” of Westport just off I-295.
A previous buyer had the property under contract and filed a zoning appeal to build a slaughterhouse on the site, but walked away from the deal after opposition from the Westport community.
