Hello Addie Boutique Opening Saturday in Federal Hill

Hello Addie Boutique will host its grand opening this Saturday at 1126 S. Charles St. in Federal Hill. The 1,000 sq. ft. space is the former home of The Bridal Suite.

Hello Addie is owned by Alexandra Dekowski who has dreamed of opening her own fashion boutique since she was little. She opened an online shop a couple years ago and has since participated in local festivals around the region. Hello Addie is named after her grandmother Addie, who worked in the fashion industry in New York City. Dekowski noted that Addie is very excited about the name and her granddaughter’s new store.

Dekowski was eying a space for a brick-and-mortar boutique and decided Federal Hill was the right location after setting up a booth at the Federal Hill Spring Block Party this year. Dekowski worked with CJ Koluch and Mike Gioioso of MacKenzie Retail to secure the Charles St. storefront.

Dekowski told SouthBMore.com that the younger age demographic of Federal Hill is ideal for her boutique and the she loves the “fun energy” of the area. Dekowski lives in Southern Pennsylvania, but is familiar with Baltimore after previously living in Towson.

Dekowski is also excited about being on the same block as boutiques Punch! and Brightside Boutique. “With more shops, we can be more of a destination,” said Dekowski. She said each shop has a bit different of a target audience and that she will make sure to sell different brands from the other two stores.

“LA Fashion” is how Dekowski describes the clothing Hello Addie will feature. Brands will include Matisse Footwear, Just Black Denim, Pistola Denim, and 4SI3NNA. Dekowski is also beginning the process of starting her own clothing line, which she will eventually sell at the store. Dekowski is additionally hoping to add swimwear to the store next year.

Dekowski said the items at Hello Addie will be mostly casual, but it will also sell dresses appropriate for wedding guests.

Along with retail shopping, Hello Addie will also host personal style appointments that will include champagne.

Dekowski is performing a cosmetic renovation of the space and will be adding a new sign out front.

Hello Addie has three employees.

Hello Addie’s grand opening will be this Saturday from 12pm to 9pm. It will feature free drinks from The Charles, DJ Baltimore for the Record, giveaways, and “major sales.”

Regular hours will start next week. Hello Addie will be open Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 8pm, Friday from 11am to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 9pm, and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.

“I am so excited. It’s been a long time coming,” said Dekowski. “I can’t wait to meet people in the area and build a relationship with our clients.”
