431-Foot Brazilian Navy Ship ‘NE Brasil’ Currently at the Inner Harbor

The 431-ft. Brazilian Navy ship ‘NE Brasil’ is currently docked at the Inner Harbor West Wall. The large vessel arrived on Tuesday and will be leaving on Sunday at 11am.

The NE Brasil is offering free tours on Thursday and Friday from 2pm to 5pm.

The Brazilian training ship Brasil is a training ship of the Brazilian Navy ordered in June 1981 at Rio de Janeiro Marine Arsenal Yard, with a budget of $ 124.2m, as a modified version of the Niteroi class of frigates, with weapons and sensors, for carrying 442 midshipmen – officers in training from the Brazilian Naval and Merchant Marine Academies.
