Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore Press Release:

The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and Baltimore City Recreation & Parks invite the public to grab a paddle and experience the Inner Harbor from the water! Participants will take in the City’s skyline, and see historic ships, restoration projects and other attractions like Baltimore’s favorite solar-powered trash receptor, Mr. Trash Wheel, up close.

“The tours have become a popular weekend activity for friends and family,” said Laurie Schwartz, president of Waterfront Partnership. “Whether a person is new to Baltimore or has lived here for decades, the kayak tours offer a fresh perspective of the city.”

Departing from the Maryland Science Center Water Taxi landing, tours will be offered to experienced paddlers every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. beginning on April 7th through October 26th, except for June 9th, August 11th and September 22nd. Tickets are $20 for Baltimore City residents and $30 for non-residents with 20% of ticket sales supporting the Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor, an initiative to restore and protect Baltimore’s most valuable asset—the Harbor.

Tours will be led by Baltimore City Recreation & Parks. There are 15 spots available per tour, and participants must have proper paddling experience and be 13 years or older. Tours are weather dependent, and guests will be issued a full refund should their tour be cancelled due to weather-related issues.
