Pizza Palace Opens in Federal Hill

| April 8, 2019 | 0 Comments

Pizza Palace opened last week at the former Fornicolli’s at 1538 Light St. in Federal Hill/South Baltimore. Fornicolli’s closed late last year.

Pizza Palace is owned by Ibrahim Amer and Walid Abdelhady, who have both worked in the pizza and carryout industry for many years. The longtime friends both grew up in Egypt and now live in Baltimore County.

Amer and Abdelhady had been looking around the Baltimore area for a location for their new carryout restaurant before deciding on Federal Hill. The two renovated the restaurant space with all new kitchen equipment including a larger pizza oven, a new ordering counter, new floors, and cosmetic upgrades. A new sign was added and the restaurant has a small dining room.

The focus of Pizza Palace will be carryout and delivery. The menu includes pizzas, stromboli, subs, gyros, wings, fried chicken, chicken nuggets and tenders, pasta dishes, soups, salads, platters, quesadillas, appetizers, and dessert.

Pizzas include the basics along with a Greek Pizza, Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Philly Cheesesteak Pizza, Chicken Tikka Pizza, Crab Pizza, White Pizza, and more.

Pizza Palace offers combination specials for wings, pizza, subs, and sodas.

Pizza Palace is open everyday starting at 10am. It closes at 1am on Sunday through Thursday and at 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Fornicolli’s replaced Federal Hill Carryout, which replaced Uncle Pete’s Grille. Prior to that it was J&P’s Carryout.
