Volunteers from Baltimore’s tourism industry completed a cleanup on Wednesday of the “South Baltimore Gateway at Potee & S Hanover Streets / Middle Branch Trailhead” at 3001 S. Hanover St. The large green space sits between MedStar Harbor Hospital and Reedbird Park.

From Visit Baltimore:

More than 100 members of Baltimore’s hospitality community joined Visit Baltimore, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, and MedStar Harbor Hospital to clean, restore and beautify a gateway into South Baltimore. This day of volunteerism fell within National Travel &Tourism Week (NTTW), which unites communities across the country to celebrate how travel matters to American jobs, economic growth and personal well-being. Volunteers not only assisted in the restoration of a hidden gem of public art –Patapsco River Project – but also, expanded out along Middle Branch Trail and Park to clean and beautify the South Baltimore waterfront.
