Weekend Baltimore Water Taxi Route Being Tested for Locust Point to Fell’s Point

| June 12, 2019 | 0 Comments

Baltimore Water Taxi is exploring the possibility of activating a ticketed Express Route from Locust Point to/from Fell’s Point on the weekends. Currently the Locust Point stop, which is located on a pier at Tide Point, only offers the free Harbor Connector Service to Canton Waterfront Park and Maritime Park on Harbor Point. This service operates Monday to Friday from 6am to 11am and 230pm to 8pm.

This new Locust Point to/from Fell’s Point route would operate Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 10pm with departures every 15 minutes. Baltimore Water Taxi is testing out this route on weekends during the month of June as part of a feasibility study.

Locust Point Civic Association has been trying to have evening and weekend water taxi service restored to this stop so it is hoping people will use this route during the feasibility study.

“We hope the popularity of this route will allow it to be part of a future offering,” said Baltimore Water Taxi President & CEO Michael McDaniel.
