National Aquarium press release:

National Aquarium’s Fort McHenry Field Day

Join the Aquarium conservation team for a field day at the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. Groups will work together to maintain pollinator and rain gardens, remove debris from the wetlands and maintain trails around the park. This work helps create valuable green space in the heart of Baltimore City that is utilized by hundreds of species of birds, reptiles like box turtles, diamondback terrapins, and aquatic critters such as juvenile blue crabs and small fish.

By joining us for this event, you can help make the marsh a cleaner place for native animals to live, and a great place for student groups from the city and neighboring counties to learn about  the nature that surrounds them.

Data collected from this event will contribute to the International Coastal Cleanup.

WHEN: Saturday, September 28, 2019

Cleanup takes place from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

WHERE: Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine

2400 East Fort Avenue

Baltimore, MD 21230
