| October 30, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Hot Dry announced yesterday that it has closed at 2 East Wells in South Baltimore. The Chinese concept restaurant opened in early September. It was a rebranding of seafood restaurant Minnow by the ownership team of Chef Ben Lefenfeld, his wife Amy Lefenfeld, and his brother Jake Lefenfeld.

The Hot Dry posted the following to social media:

The Hot Dry and Minnow chef Sarah Murray appeared on Food Network’s ‘Beat Bobby Flay‘ on September 26th.

Minnow opened in Summer 2017.

The Lefenfelds still own and operate Basque-themed restaurant La Cuchara in Woodberry.

The closure of The Hot Dry currently leaves both retail spaces at 2 East Wells available. Baltimore Soup Company closed last October after eight months of business. The Baltimore Soup Company space is currently listed with Brexton Commercial, which informed that it has been busy showing the space to prospective tenants and is hoping to get a deal done soon.
