Courtyard by Marriott Opens at McHenry Row in Locust Point
The South Baltimore Peninsula neighborhoods now have a hotel as Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore Downtown/McHenry Row has opened in Locust Point. The hotel caps a final phase of development at McHenry Row which has added a five-story, 75,000 sq. ft. office building; the eight-story, 126-room Courtyard by Marriott; and a dog park at a former parking lot at the southeastern portion of the site.
The Courtyard by Marriott includes a casual first-floor cafe and bar called The Bistro, a business library, a fitness center, and a 1,200 sq. ft., 80-person event space for meetings and weddings.
Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore Downtown/McHenry Row has a gray, white, and green exterior and a loading driveway in front of the entrance. The eastern side of the building has a new dog park.
The new hotel uses the existing parking at McHenry Row.
McHenry Row is developed by 28 Walker. Officials from the organization told SouthBMore.com when the hotel was in planning they expected demand to be driven by the adjacent Port of Baltimore Cruise Maryland and McHenry Row’s offices, including Comcast’s regional headquarters.
The new office building at McHenry Row was completed last year and its tenants include MOI, Inc., Flywheel Digital, Gross Mendelsohn & Associates, and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
