Sagamore Spirit has released a limited-edition whiskey called the Sagamore Spirit Barrel Select Bartender’s Barrel to benefit the local restaurant industry. Sagamore says 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Baltimore Bartender’s Guild which is helping provide relief to local bartenders impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sagamore Spirit invited the Baltimore Bartender’s Guild to virtually sample and select the barrels that would be used for the whiskey. Two barrels of six-year-old straight rye whiskey were each blended with a low-rye mash bill “resulting in a 110-proof whiskey that reveals tasting notes from each barrel: chocolate hazelnut, cardamom, and ripe banana in one and cherry and apple blossoms in the other.”

The bottles cost $59.99 and are available at Drug City, Magothy Wine and Spirits, Canton Crossing Wine and Spirits, Kenilworth Wine and Spirits, Quarry Wine and Spirits, Midway Liquors, and Dutch Courage.

Sagamore Spirit has also been using its facility to produce hand sanitizer for local healthcare workers and first responders.
