New Restaurant Building Eyed for Cross Street in Pigtown

Daniel Myers, who just opened Store It All Self Storage in Pigtown, is hoping to build a new restaurant building at a vacant lot at the corner of W. Cross St. and Sterrett St. The former parking lot was most recently used as a staging area for the construction Store It All, which sits adjacent to the lot.

Myers would build out the facility and then lease it to an operator. He said it would likely be a two-story building with dining rooms and kitchens on both floors. He said the lot is about the size of two to three townhomes.

Myers hopes to start the project in the next 12 months. He thinks more dining options are needed in the area and will help improve the Pigtown neighborhood. He also thinks it would “square nicely” with the new culinary arts training center Groundwork Kitchen that is currently under construction four blocks away.
