Store It All Self Storage Opens in Pigtown
Store It All Self Storage opened at 1018 S. Paca St. in Pigtown for a soft opening. Store It All renovated an existing three-story brick building dating back to 1906 and built an adjacent six-story addition.
The Store It All facility has 692 storage units ranging in size from 3 ft. by 9 ft. to 27 ft. by 10 ft. Units start at $59 per month.
The building has climate control, full security with 28 different cameras, loading docks in a gated entrance off Sterrett St., dehumidifiers, and elevators that can hold 5,000 lbs.
Store It All offers a free moving truck for its customers.
Store It All is run by manager Michael Garcia-Vasquez and also has one maintenance employee.
The upper floors of the building feature views of the stadiums, downtown, and South Baltimore. Its LED sign is visible from the nearby highways.
Store It All landscaped the tree pits on the perimeter of the property.
Store It All is based in Rockville, Maryland and has 29 properties around the country. Texas is the company’s biggest market.
Store It All Principal Daniel Myers called it a “difficult project” due to historical issues with the building and making the project work within the existing structure. He said Store It All was a “multi-million dollar” investment.
The building was originally owned by Jewish Russian immigrants and used as a slaughterhouse. It has a couple Stars of David on the third story of the brick facade. It was the former home to Fandango Special Events before Store It All began its renovation in late-2018. The project was first introduced to the Pigtown neighborhood in 2017.
Myers purchased an additional lot at the corner of W. Cross St. and Sterrett St. and plans to build out a spec restaurant which it will lease to an operator. This lot was used for staging during the construction of Store It All and was previously a parking lot.
