ZeroFOX Acquires Virginia-Based Business Cyveillance
South Baltimore’s ZeroFOX, a social media and public platform cybersecurity company, announced today the acquisition for Reston, Virginia-based business Cyveillance.
Cyveillance was previously acquired by LookingGlass in 2015.

The combination of the ZeroFOX Artificial Intelligence-powered Digital Risk Protection Platform with Cyveillance’s comprehensive threat intelligence data lake and expansive human dark web intelligence capabilities positions ZeroFOX as the world leader in Digital Risk Protection, connecting automated protection and intelligence for organizations of all sizes.
The move takes ZeroFOX’s workforce to 400. In February of this year, the company had 250 employees.
ZeroFOX will now have an office in Reston with the acquisition. ZeroFOX CEO James Foster told SouthBMore.com some employees who were based in Reston may choose to work in the Baltimore office and some employees who were based in Baltimore may choose to work in Reston. While ZeroFOX was running out of space in South Baltimore before the pandemic hit, Foster said they currently have enough room as some employees are working remotely.

ZeroFOX was founded in 2013 and keeps it headquarters at the former Pabst castle at 1838 S. Charles St. ZeroFOX has raised more than $150 million of capital funding to date.
Foster told SouthBMore.com in February that the company is hoping for a pubic stock offering soon.
