‘Baltimore-Maryland 2026 World Cup Host Destination Delegation’ has released a new YouTube video narrated by Baltimore native and Towson University alum Mike Rowe to promote its bid for the international soccer tournament. The delegation is hoping to have M&T Bank Stadium be one of the 10 stadiums selected for the event in the United States. Mexico and Canada will each have three host cities as well in the 2026 World Cup.

The video has shots of M&T Bank Stadium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Russell St., Fort McHenry, the M&T Bank Stadium Light Rail Station, the Inner Harbor, the National Aquarium, Domino Sugar, the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, the Edgar Allen Poe Grave, AVAM’s Kinetic Sculpture Race, Pier Six Pavilion, the Gwynns Falls Trail, Baltimore Water Taxi, and Sagamore Spirit, as well as different shots around the city. It focuses on the resilient spirit of Baltimore, portraying Baltimore as an underdog versus more glamorous cities looking to host the event.

FIFA is expected to name host cities for the 2026 World Cup in the next couple of years.
