Baltimore City Sees Surge in Home Sales and Median Purchase Price in 2020

Even though the COVID-19 pandemic hurt a large number of businesses and sectors of the economy in 2020, many real estate markets around the country had a banner year. Baltimore City was one of those markets as it had more home sales than at any point in the last 10 years. There was also a large increase in the median purchase price of homes in the city.

Annie Milli, executive director of Live Baltimore, a nonprofit that promotes homeownership in the city, Tweeted some stats about the real estate market in 2020:
