‘European Wax Center’ and ‘Mr. Lee’s Dry Cleaning’ Opening at McHenry Row

McHenry Row in Locust Point is adding two tenants as European Wax Center and Mr. Lee’s Dry Cleaning are opening at the shopping center. European Wax Center is filling a space previously occupied by Massage Envy and Mr. Lee’s is taking over a space vacated by Fresh Cleaners.

Massage Envy closed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and its space was subdivided. It is now filled by European Wax Center and NovaCare Rehabilitation.

European Wax Center has many locations around the country and in the Baltimore area including a location at The Shops at Canton Crossing, which is also owned by 28 Walker. European Wax Center offers different wax treatments for facial and body hair.

Fresh Cleaners closed in August. Mr. Lee’s has other locations Canton, Brewer’s Hill, Mount Vernon, and Severna Park.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused retail shake up for McHenry Row. Urban Oyster, World of Beer, Massage Envy, Fresh Cleaners, Hair Cuttery, Rev Cycle Studio, and Charm City Run all closed last year, while European Wax Center, Mr. Lee’s, and NovaCare have opened or will be opening soon.

Jay Sapperstein of 28 Walker, which owns and managers McHenry Row, said more tenant announcements are “on the cusp.”
