City Pools to Open on May 29th with COVID-19 Restrictions

Pools throughout the city, including the Riverside Park Pool in South Baltimore, will open on May 29th. Rules and restrictions by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks will continue to be in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rules and instructions for all Baltimore City pools include:

  • Pre-register before attending; walk-up registration is subject to availability
  • Swim sessions are 90 minutes each with a 30-minute pool cleaning before the next session
  • Come to the pool dressed ready to swim, as there will be no locker room access
  • Shower from head-to-toe at the deck showers before entering the pool
  • Those with a temperature 100.4 and above will not be permitted to swim
  • Pool capacity has been reduced at each pool depending on the size of each pool
  • Masks must be worn while outside of the pool

The hours of operation will be:

Monday-Friday (30-min clean-up between each session)

  • 1PM-2:30PM
  • 3PM-4:30PM
  • 5PM-6:30PM

Saturday-Sunday (30-min clean-up between each session)

  • 11AM-12:30PM
  • 1PM-2:30PM
  • 3PM-4:30PM
  • 5PM-6:30PM

Baby Country Club, a swimming session for young families on weekend mornings, will not operate this summer.
