A former restaurant property at 771 Washington Blvd. in Pigtown is currently available for purchase in an online auction. The property was most recently the home of Breaking Bread, which is relocating. It was also previously the home of the Tilted Pig and Calypso Cafe.

The minimum bid for the Alex Cooper online auction is $200,000. The current bid is also $200,000. The auction will end this Thursday at 1pm.

The property is a rectangular shaped lot with a frontage of 18′ on Washington Blvd., a depth of 110′ and a rear frontage of 18′ on Eislen St.  The lot size is 1,980 sq. ft. or 0.045 acre.  There is room for rear parking behind the building. The property is located in a C-1, Commercial Zone.

The property is improved by a 3-story commercial storefront building containing 3,348 sq. ft. according to the Maryland State Dept. of Assessment and Taxation web site.  The first two levels were previously used as a bar/restaurant and still retains an exhaust hood, some kitchen equipment, first floor bar, restrooms, and wood floors.  The third level is presently unfinished and can be be easily finished into useful space. The basement is used for storage.

Update: A bid of $267,750 was accepted.
