Farm store Rooster + Hen has closed at Cross Street Market in Federal Hill. Rooster + Hen, which relocated from Catonsville to Federal Hill, was the first tenant to occupy the 1,800 sq. ft. enclosed space at the southeast corner of the renovated market.

Rooster + Hen posted the following to its Facebook page last week:

Thank you for coming to workshops

And dinners

And classes

And grabbing your bags through the window.

Thank you for bringing in your dates, your kids, your friends, and your parents to shop.

Come see us before September 28th. We would love to see your faces and wish you well.

Rooster + Hen sold groceries and produce, as well as had an in-house bakery from Charlsie’s Bakehouse and an in-house florist from Baltimore Florist. Both are still operating in the space. Charlsie’s baked good can also be found at some local restaurants and at the Cross Street Farmers’ Market.

The Cross Street Market leasing team of CANAdev provided the following statement: “We wish Rooster + Hen the best and look forward to announcing our plans for the space soon. We also have two new tenants joining the Market in the coming weeks.”

Additional vacant spaces at the market currently include the former Annoula’s, the former OnoPoké, and two stall spaces that have not had a tenant since the market reopened.
