Kayak, Paddle Board, Catamaran, and Jet Ski Rentals Coming to Port Covington

Port Covington and Eastern Watersports are partnering this summer to bring kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing catamarans, and jet skis to the Middle Branch. Beginning this Saturday, May 28, Eastern Watersports will offer hourly equipment rentals at the Port Covington Marina at 321 E. Cromwell St.
Eastern Watersports has operating locations in Eastern Baltimore County and a retail store in Middle River. It’s expanding its rentals this summer to both Port Covington and Thurmont, MD.
Rentals will be available every day from 10am to 7pm through August.
“As the transformation of Port Covington continues, we are excited to partner with Eastern Watersports to bring recreational activities to the marina, making the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River accessible to even more Baltimore communities,” said MaryAnne Gilmartin, founder and CEO of MAG Partners, which is the new lead developer of the Port Covington Development, in a press release. “This is just one piece of our exciting summer programming this year and we invite everyone to experience all that Port Covington has to offer.”
“Our mission at Eastern Watersports has always been to offer affordable equipment, lessons, and events so as many people as possible can have the opportunity to get outside, get active, and have fun,” said Philip DePalo, founder and owner of Eastern Watersports, in a press release. “Until now, we’ve been concentrated in Eastern Baltimore County, but we’re excited to now also reach residents and visitors in Baltimore City with our presence at Port Covington. Even in the heart of the city, Maryland has an abundance of scenic waterways to explore, and we hope more people will join us this summer to experience the freedom of a day spent on the water.”
