Last night the Baltimore Orioles played in the MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport, PA. The game was broadcasted on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, as well as on ESPN2’s KidsCast hosted by young broadcasters. During the KidsCast, Orioles player Ryan McKenna was interviewed in the 6th inning and gave a shoutout to Spoons Cafe & Coffee Roasters in Federal Hill.

When asked by 14-year-old broadcaster Leo Roth if he has any favorite food spots in Baltimore, McKenna said, “If you’re breakfast people, go to Spoons Cafe. It’s right Downtown. They got some really good breakfast – some really good waffles, omelettes, scrambles, all that stuff.”

SouthBMore.com posted the video to Instagram and Spoons responded in an Instagram story saying, “Whaaa!!! This is so cool!!! Thank you so much Ryan, we’re honored!!!”

Spoons has been serving breakfast and coffee in Federal Hill since the 1990s.
