The entertainment-focused development on Warner St. in Stadium Area, which connects Horseshoe Casino Baltimore to M&T Bank Stadium, has been rebranded as The Walk @ Warner Street. The development by Horseshoe Baltimore owners CBAC was previously named the Warner Street District.

Officials from Horseshoe Baltimore, the Baltimore Ravens, Topgolf, Paramount Baltimore, City of Baltimore, and the State government were on hand to make the announcement on Tuesday.

The announcement comes on the same week that Topgolf opened. Topgolf is the first new project to be completed in The Walk @ Warner Street.

“When Caesars Entertainment first proposed developing a casino in Baltimore, the company promised local residents and city and state leaders that its gaming entertainment facility would be just the first step in transforming South Baltimore,” said Horseshoe Baltimore Senior Vice President and General Manager Randy Conroy in a press release. “Today, we have delivered on that promise. The Walk @ Warner Street is creating hundreds of new jobs in Baltimore, dramatically expanding the city’s tax base, bringing new visitors and businesses downtown and building a robust entertainment destination that will stand as a proud southern gateway into Charm City.”

Topgolf is a three-level, 65,000 sq. ft. building on 6.5 acres located on Ridgely’s Cove of the Patapsco River.

Part of the Topgolf agreement with the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) was a plan for improvements to the adjacent trail and park located behind the casino’s parking garage and along the Gwynns Falls Trail and Ridgely’s Cove. Topgolf’s contractors began work on this project in January 2021 and the park space is now reopened to the public.

Also part of The Walk @ Warner Street is an under-construction 70,000 sq. ft., 4,000-seat music venue The Paramount Baltimore. It began construction at 1300 Warner St. in February and is expected to open next summer.

A large warehouse and retail building at 1400 Warner St. was recently demolishedThe master plan for the The Walk @ Warner Street shows a hotel being built on the southern section of the property. A retail building is also planned for the northern end of the property.

Conroy told SouthBMore.com construction on the hotel will likely begin in a few years.

A 30,000 sq. ft. bar with a placeholder name of Yards Social Bar is marketed to replace an industrial building at 1301 Warner St. Conroy told SouthBMore.com “an announcement should be coming soon” for this space.
