Early-Morning Fire Destroys Two Pigtown Businesses
A fire, which occurred this morning in Pigtown, destroyed businesses The Sen Store and Royal by SBE on the 700 block of Washington Blvd.

(B-Shift) This morning, just before 5am, Truck 23 and Engine 55 responded on box alarm 23-61. Truck 23 arrived in the 700blk of Washington Blvd with smoke showing from a 3sty middle of the group store front. Engine 55 made quick work of a first floor fire while Truck 23 searched and opened up. The fire is currently under investigation by FIB. Thanks to JAWS for the pics.
Pigtown Main Street Executive Director Kim Lane told SouthBMore.com: “Two businesses are ruined and we believe one building will be condemned. Both business owners are devastated.”
She noted Pigtown Main Street is looking to start a GoFundMe to support the business owners.
The Sen Store sells new and used clothing and shoes. Royal by SBE sells custom-designed clothing and shoes.
The apartments above the businesses were unoccupied.
