Dempsey’s Brew Pub, which was located in the warehouse at 333 W. Camden St. at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, has closed. The restaurant, which first opened in 2012, will additionally not return for the upcoming baseball season under new Oriole Park at Camden Yards food and beverage partner Levy.

Orioles Director of Public Relations Jackie Harig told SouthBMore.com the team will be “sharing plans for the space soon.”

Former Oriole and 1983 World Series MVP Rick Dempsey, whom the pub was named after, released the following statement on his Facebook page:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON DEMPSEY’S BREW PUB:
I want to thank all of the fans that have reached out to me regarding the restaurant change. The Orioles are switching the food vendors at Camden Yards and will utilize that space in a different way. I have been working with the Orioles as an ambassador and will hopefully continue in that capacity for many years. As everyone knows, I have a deep love for the Orioles and the city of Baltimore and that will continue forever!

Adjacent to the former Dempsey’s space is the Orioles Team Store which is now run by Fanatics. Also new at Oriole Park at Camden Yards will be a SuperBook Sports betting lounge at an undisclosed location in the stadium.

The Orioles are hoping to get a lease extension at Oriole Park at Camden Yards this year and are planning up to $600 million in improvements at the stadium.
