Riverside Park Gazebo Renovations Underway

UPDATE:
The gazebo roof will be done this week. Next is the base repairs, then painting. The base repairs are concrete, so there is a curing time before painting. If weather cooperates, the optimistic estimate is 3 weeks.
Scheduled work is during the week and should not impact any upcoming weekend permit holders.

Gazebo renovations have begun! This project, funded by South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, will result in a new roof, woodwork and ironwork repairs, and a fresh coat of paint. We knew this work was coming, but today’s start was a surprise. We are awaiting a timeline from Baltimore Recnparks and will keep everyone informed.
Please note: We are aware of a few pavilion rentals in the next few weeks and will be asking about potential conflicts when we hear back on a timeline. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to the permit office if you have immediate concerns: park.permits@baltimorecity.gov.
A renovation of the athletic facilities at Riverside Park is also underway.
