Lamar Jackson Agrees to Five-Year Deal with the Baltimore Ravens

| April 28, 2023 | 0 Comments

The offseason negotiations between the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson are over as the two have agreed to a new five-year, $260-million deal with $185 million guaranteed for the quarterback, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Jackson was previously placed on a non-exclusive franchise tag in March for $32.415 million for the 2023 season. Under the non-exclusive franchise tag, Jackson could have negotiated a deal with another team, however that team would need to give up two first-round draft picks in exchange for Jackson. No teams made contract offers to Jackson prior to yesterday’s deal with the Ravens.

Jackson is now the highest paid player in the National Football League (NFL).

The Ravens have added additional players to their offense. This included signing free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on April 9th and drafting wide receiver Zay Flowers in the first round of last night’s NFL Draft.

Below are reactions about Jackson’s deal.
