430-Foot Maryland Flag Mural Added to Under Armour Office Building

A 430-foot Maryland flag mural was recently added to the exterior of Building 37 at Under Armour’s campus in Port Covington. The mural was installed by painter Greg Gannon and Prodec Finishes.

Gannon is a sign painter who has work featured on Cross Street Market, Hollins Market, M&T Bank Stadium, and Anthem House. He installed the Maryland flag shapes on the wall and Prodec filled them in.

Gannon said it was one of the most beautiful job sites he’s worked at as it faces the newly-opened track and field stadium at Under Armour’s campus and is right on the Patapsco River.

It took Gannon and Prodec seven consecutive days of painting to complete the mural.

Building 37, which was previously a Sam’s Club, was converted into an office building  in 2016 and renovated again in 2020. It reopened last year. It has black exterior walls and features billboards of Under Armour athletes on its north-facing wall.

Building 37 is adjacent to the construction site for a 280,000 sq. ft. Under Armour office, retail, and fitness building. Construction began late last year and it is expected to open by the end of 2024.
