South Baltimore Crime Updates
From Baltimore Police Department (BPD):
On 08/07/2023 at approximately 2043 hours this officer responded to the E Cross St and William St for a Armed robbery. Victim stated that herself and witness were walking south on the 1100 block of William St. They had seen one suspect on a red dirt bike riding around the area and the other suspect approaching a nearby vehicle that was parked along the side on E Cross St. Victim stated that the one suspect ran up to her demanded money from her. Suspect was holding what appeared to be a long handgun and pointing it at her. The suspect was able to take $30 from victim stated that the suspect the hopped on the dirt bike with the other suspect and road off heading towards the Inner Harbor. Southern District DDU responded to scene. Victim assistance form provided.
From BPD:
On August 7, 2023, at approximately 2224 hours, I was dispatched to 1000 South Paca Street in reference to an attempted robbery. Upon arrival, I spoke to victim who advised that he was in 1000 South Paca Street when he was approached by two black males on a bike coming from the north on South Paca Street. The suspects then ordered him to give them his belongings. One suspect reached to his hip like he was grabbing a weapon. A struggle ensured and suspects fled the scene on the bike southbound on South Paca Street. No properties were taken during the incident. An area canvass was conducted with negative results at this time. SD. DDU was notified. Detective responded to the scene and assumed the control of the investigation.
