UPDATE: New Four-Way Stop Coming to Riverside – Intersection of E Fort Ave and Battery Ave

I am pleased to report that per my conversation with the DOT Director this week, a four-way stop will be installed at the intersection of E Fort Ave and Battery Ave by Nov 30, 2023. Specifically, work orders have been written to install stop signs, advance warning signs, and stop bars.

A huge thank you to the neighbors who brought this issue to my attention and advocated to help us get this commitment. This intersection has a high volume of pedestrian traffic, specifically parents walking their children to and from Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School (TJEMS).
