The Ravens Secure Playoff Berth

| December 18, 2023 | 0 Comments

It’s been a banner year for Baltimore’s two sports franchises in the regular season. The Orioles won the American League East and secured the #1 seed in the American League for the MLB Postseason, and last night the Ravens clinched an NFL Playoff birth with a 23-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. They currently sit as the #1 seed in the AFC.

If the Ravens finish the season with the #1 seed, they will be the only team in the AFC with a bye in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs and will have home field advantage at M&T Bank Stadium throughout their playoff run.

The Ravens currently have a two-game lead over the Joe Flacco-led Cleveland Browns in the AFC North, a one-game lead over the Dolphins in the race for the AFC’s #1 seed, and a two-game lead over the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.

The Ravens’ remaining games are at the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas night, at home versus the Miami Dolphins on New Year’s Eve, and at home versus the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 of the season with a yet-to-be-announced day and time.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is currently considered a contender by many NFL analysts for the NFL Most Valuable Player. Brock Purdy, Dak Prescott, and Tyreek Hill also in the mix.
