From Pigtown Main Street:

Important. Please read.

Our Pigtown family hearts are breaking for Rio @riomoney_rc and his family. Deon Beasley loving known as Rio was an innocent shooting victim today on Washington Blvd.

Rio was a great Dad and the person who was always there. A dedicated helper and friend to all who knew him. A favorite memory is that at the end of the Pigtown fest, volunteers and staff were exhausted. Rio who owned a moving and hauling business, stepped up. He rescued us while teasing us about being too tired to haul trash. He hired people who needed a helping hand. He helped at clean ups and more. He did this from his heart and belief in giving back.

Beyond his community spirit , he was joyful, his smile always bright and he always had a joke to share.

We will miss his constant positive spirit, coming into the office to visit and chatter at the barber shop.

A great dad, a wonderful person, a member of our Pigtown family.

We will always miss and cherish the moments with Rio. This is a tragedy beyond words.
