Just outside of South Baltimore, famous Pittsburgh sandwich chain Primanti Brothers Restaurant and Bar is coming to Linthicum. Primanti Brothers’ unique signature is putting french fries and coleslaw on its sandwiches.

From a press release:

This spring, Primanti Brothers Restaurant and Bar will hit the local food scene with the opening of its first location in the region. Located at 996 Corporate Blvd., Linthicum Heights, the restaurant known for its Almost Famous sandwiches will be less than four miles from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and just seven miles from Downtown Baltimore.

Primanti Bros., the 91-year-old, Pittsburgh-based creator of sandwiches topped with French fries, is expected to employ about 100 local residents, including management, bartenders, kitchen staff and servers when it opens the 5,227-square-foot restaurant in spring 2024.

“There’s no better place for Primanti Bros. to continue its expansion than into the Baltimore region,” said Adam Golomb, CEO, Primanti Bros. “We’re excited to bring people together at the location in Linthicum. And while we might’ve been born out of Pittsburgh – we know once Baltimore gives us a shot – they’ll love what we do.”

Primanti Bros. is known for its Almost Famous sandwich – which is piled high with grilled meat and Provolone cheese – and then topped with French fries, two tomato slices, and a homemade sweet and sour slaw – all piled high between two slices of thick-cut Italian bread. Almost Famous connoisseurs are known to add a fried egg to the sandwich, too.

In addition to its sandwiches, the menu includes a full offering of traditional American favorites, like burgers, wings, and pizza. The restaurant will also feature a full bar and selection of craft and domestic beers, as well as liquor and signature cocktails.

Over the last 10 years, Primanti Bros. has more than doubled the number of restaurants in its portfolio. The decision to bring the Primanti Bros. experience to the Baltimore region is a testament to the brand’s commitment to sharing its distinctive taste and atmosphere with new communities.
