Three ‘Extended Hour’ Nights Planned This Summer at Fort McHenry

LPCA-Sponsored ‘Extended Hour Nights’ at Ft. McHenry

The extended hour nights are back again this summer! The park will be open for extended hours to 8:00 pm with special activities planned for three nights! Look for more details as summer approaches.

June 7 – The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will perform for free
July 17 – Game night with family activities like cornhole, Jenga, bocci ball, etc.
August 21 – “Oh Say Can You See” Park Presentation

Normal park hours for this summer are Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, and Sat. and Sun., 9am-6pm. Staffing shortages prevent the park from having longer hours.

Robert Stewart, acting Park Superintendent, is scheduled to present at the June LPCA Membership meeting.

Experience the power of resilience through music! The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra & Music Director Jonathon Heyward will perform as we honor those impacted by the March 2024 Key Bridge tragedy. Reserve your FREE tickets for June 7 now. Reservations are appreciated, but not required. Miss Twist will be there too!!

Visitors are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs into the park. The use of hammocks is not permitted.

The Seawall Trail and West Lawn will be closed to recreational use at 5:30 p.m.

The park will remain open after 5:00pm, however the Star Fort will close at 5:00pm.
