Fells Point coffee shop Daily Grind is opening its ninth location at Baltimore Peninsula in South Baltimore. Daily Grind will open in the new 2455 House Street building, which is also home to the CFG Bank headquarters.

Daily Grind was founded in 1991 in Fells Point and roasts its coffee in Little Italy. It has locations at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins University, Saint Joseph Hospital, Greenspring Station, and University of Maryland BioPark.

Along with coffee drinks including espresso, lattes, “barista specialties,” and teas, Daily Grind offers breakfast options, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies.

“As Baltimore’s first coffee shop, we’ve seen the incredible growth of this city and we’re excited to join one of its newest, buzziest neighborhoods,” said David Key of Daily Grind in a press release. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with this community and bring our offerings to so many new residents, workers and visitors.”

Daily Grind is the latest restaurant announcement for Baltimore Peninsula, which finished construction on five new buildings last year. Little Wing Cafe & General Store will open this month, Rye Street Tavern is expected to open this summer, and additional restaurants planned are Ben & Jerrys, Jersey Mike’s Subs, BK Lobster, Slutty Vegan, Bar Vegan, Urbano, Live-K, and a multi-vendor space called The Exchange.

Also opening in retail spaces at 2455 House Street are a retail branch for CFG Bank and a dog care provider owned by Baltimore resident Eric Brown.
