Gold and Company, a leading Baltimore commercial real estate firm, is now the exclusive leasing agent for the Union Bros. Building in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City. Gold and Company is responsible for overseeing the leasing of the remaining space, which currently includes three offices, within the historic complex located at 37 W. Cross St.

The Union Bros. Building, formerly known as the Plymouth Wallpaper Building, was constructed between 1923 and 1955. It features three unique sections which showcase distinct architectural styles and reflect the city’s evolution throughout the 20th century.

Originally owned by brothers Philip and Rubin Union and business partner Benjamin Ruttenberg, the building served as the operational hub for Union Bros. Furniture Company from 1919 to 1972. It was later the home of Plymouth Wallpaper Co.

Today, the Union Bros. building continues to be a cornerstone of Baltimore’s architectural landscape, offering a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Recently renovated by local Baltimore owner and developer John Roe, the building currently has three office spaces available from 7,142 sq. ft., 5,390 sq. ft., and 2,058 sq. ft. Retail/restaurant opportunities also available.

Current tenants in the building are an architecture firm, a massage therapist, and other professional office users.

“Baltimore has such a rich industrial heritage which is reflected in our meticulous preservation of this historic building,” said Roe. “The Union Bros. Building stands as a testament to the city’s enduring charm. Nestled in the heart of Federal Hill, we offer a unique blend of history, coupled with chic modern finishes. We look forward to extending invitations to office tenants seeking not just a workspace, but an experience.”

“The Union Bros. office building offers an ideal setting for businesses looking to establish a presence in one of Baltimore’s most vibrant neighborhoods,” said Gold and Company’s Sr. Vice President Jim Chivers.

Will McCullough will join Chivers in handling the leasing for the building.
