Update: This dog park will open for the first time on Halloween.
A new dog park called Baltimore Pawninsula will open at the Baltimore Peninsula development on Halloween. The dog park was built on a development pad site on Rye St. behind the parking garage of the 250 Mission building.
Baltimore Pawninsula has a mulch surface and is enclosed with a black chain-link fence. A sand surface was installed underneath the mulch.
To celebrate the new dog park, the Howl-O-Ween Dog Trick or Treat Festival is taking place on October 31st from 5pm to 8pm. It is hosted by Molly’s Dog Care, which will open next year in the 2455 House Street office building. Howl-O-Ween will feature a dog costume contest and a dog trick-or-treating station where dog owners can collect treats, toys, and more for their pets.
The Baltimore Peninsula development opened five new buildings in Chapter 1B of the project last year. Open spaces at the development include Elijah’s Park which has a playground and plaza; Rye Street Park which features green spaces, pathways, and waterfront access around Sagamore Spirit; and the privately-operated Club Volo which features pickleball courts, beach volleyball courts, and multi-use fields.
