The former 24,000 sq. ft. headquarters of Len The Plumber at 1552 Ridgely St. in South Baltimore’s Carroll-Camden Industrial Area recently sold for $2.5 million. The buyer, TD Properties 3, is partnering with Stephen Hubbard of Reedbird Steel, LLC to establish a construction industry trade school which will be operated by Julia’s Gift Foundation.
Jim Chivers, senior vice president of Gold and Company, and John Roe, associate of Gold and Company, assisted the buyer and seller in the transaction.
Len The Plumber relocated to Halethorpe earlier this year.
The recently-renovated building at 1552 Ridgely St. is mix of office and warehouse space. It features approximately 20 ft. ceilings.
The trade school will provide hands-on training and workforce development opportunities for youth and young adults pursuing careers in the skilled trades.
“We’re excited to see this property become a vital asset for Baltimore, training the next generation of skilled tradespeople for the region,” said Chivers in a press release.
