The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business held its grand opening last week at the Rye Street Market building in Baltimore Peninsula. The Smith School is the first tenant in a 12,480 sq. ft. space on the third floor of the building. It serves as a space for the Smith School’s Flex MBA program.
The new campus is a relocation from the UMD BioPark, and one of three locations for The Smith School. There are also locations in Rockville (Universities at Shady Grove) and Washington, D.C. (Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center).
“For more than two decades, the Smith School has delivered a nationally ranked MBA program in Baltimore, providing working professionals with rigorous business education and a vital pathway for regional leaders,” said Prabhudev Konana, dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business, in a press release. “As we open our doors at Baltimore Peninsula, we are entering an exciting new chapter—one that deepens our long‑standing commitment to the city and expands opportunities for the professionals, alumni, and organizations that make this region such a vital part of Maryland’s economic future.”

Also in Rye Street Market is M&T Bank, Strayer University, PwC, Newmark, Chambers, the Baltimore Ravens, Disaronno, Longeviti Neuro Solutions, One Bar Mining, and Volo Sports.
Retail tenants include Jersey Mike’s, Slutty Vegan, and Bar Vegan. Live-K Karaoke and Urbano Tex-Mex are slated to open soon.
