Locust Point’s ‘Dimples Bar & Grill’ is opening a second location at the former Riptide at 1718 Thames St. in Fells Point. The cheesesteak restaurant, which opened in Locust Point in November, hopes to open in Fells Point by the end of the summer.

‘Baltimore Auto Body & Collision Center’ Closing in South Baltimore
Baltimore Auto Body & Collision Center will close at 1845 S. Hanover St. on April 30th following complaints from the community.
“This outcome shows what’s possible when residents speak up and government listens and acts,” said Baltimore City Councilwoman Phylicia Porter, D-District 10. “Our office is here to help, and we are committed to delivering clear, tangible results that address community concerns. For months, neighbors raised serious issues impacting safety, access, and quality of life, and we stayed focused on resolution. This closure reflects the power of collaboration, accountability, and persistence in protecting our neighborhoods.”
Complaints include illegal parking and blocking sidewalks and alleys.

In a statement, Baltimore City Sheriff Sam Cogen said: “This is a clear example of the power of collaboration. When neighbors, city agencies and our office are aligned, we can address even the most persistent issues and deliver results.”
Cogen said it’s a model he hopes to apply in neighborhoods across the city.
Baltimore Auto Body & Collision Center, which has been open less than two years, replaced Bumper Globe.
The building is currently for sale. The S. Charles St. side of the building is an office space and was the former home of ZeroFox. It has a castle-like architecture and was once the home to the Pabst Brewing Company.
‘Ébène Pilates’ Opens in Locust Point
Ébène Pilates opened in recent weeks at 1642 Beason St. in Locust Point. Ébène opened in a renovated space that was formerly a garage, part of a redevelopment of three properties by Clipper Construction that also includes a shared office building and Cool Beans Coffee.
About Ébène from its website:
We didn’t build Ébène Pilates just to open another studio.
We built it to create what’s been missing — a space where wellness doesn’t whisper “you don’t belong here.” A space where your body is not just welcomed, but celebrated. This is more than Pilates. This is a reimagining of wellness. This is community care in motion. This is change — grounded, graceful, and ours.
